Law Schools and the profession have programmed attorneys to believe that legal skills will lift them in the legal industry, which is not true. Legal skills are necessary, and without them, you will not make it to first base, but to make a home run (or even a double or triple), you must have excellent non-lawyering skills.

Sometimes, we fear what our perceived enemies might do to us. Yet, it's often our own sense of being an impostor that causes us the most harm. Imposter syndrome can be a significant barrier that limits our progress. It's that persistent feeling of not belonging, being a fraud, and constantly comparing ourselves to others. However, it doesn't have to hold us back forever.

When we compare ourselves to others, it is called social comparison. It is harmful when you compare yourself to someone you deem to be more or less successful than yourself.
